Big Time Gaming created Megaways, and understanding that one mechanic explains a large slice of every modern slot lobby, including the parts with no BTG game in them. The studio publishes its own corporate details: Big Time Gaming Pty Ltd, Suite 203 / 50 Holt St, Surry Hills, NSW 2010, in Sydney, Australia (bigtimegaming.com, HTTP 200, checked 10 September 2026). It licenses three mechanics to other studios rather than one, Megaways, Megaclusters and Megapays, and it runs that licensing programme openly, which is why Megaways titles carry other studios' names. BTG is part of the Evolution group, listed among Evolution's own brands beside NetEnt, Red Tiger and Nolimit City. Megaways itself is simple to state and easy to misread. The number of symbols on each reel changes every spin, so the number of paying combinations changes too, up to 117,649 on a six-reel game. In practice that means two consecutive spins at the same stake are not comparable, and a screenshot showing a huge combination count says nothing about how often that count appears. Bonanza and White Rabbit are the titles Filipino players name first, and OKBet's slots lobby carries BTG games. The studio's own site has a Play For Fun section, and where a BTG title has a demo build here, use it to watch reel-height variation across twenty spins rather than to chase a feature. The honest limit: BTG's own marketing leans hard on the size of its top outcomes, and we do not repeat those figures as expectations, because a stated ceiling describes the top of a distribution rather than a typical round. The studio publishes no per-title RTP or volatility rating on its site, so read the in-game paytable on your PAGCOR-licensed platform. 21 and over only.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Megaways actually change?
The number of symbols on each reel varies every spin, so the number of paying combinations varies too, up to 117,649 on a six-reel layout. Two spins at the same stake are not comparable.
Why do other studios have Megaways games?
BTG licenses the mechanic. Megaways, Megaclusters and Megapays are all licensed to other developers, which is why the name appears on games BTG did not build.
Is Big Time Gaming part of Evolution?
Yes. Evolution lists BTG among its own brands on evolution.com, alongside NetEnt, Red Tiger and Nolimit City.
