ArenaPlus Is Gone From GCash GLife: How to Access It in 2026
The ArenaPlus entry inside GCash's GLife stopped working at 8 PM on 16 August 2025 and has not come back since. Nothing happened to ArenaPlus itself — the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ordered every institution it supervises to strip gambling links out of their payment apps, and GCash complied on the deadline. The way in now is ArenaPlus's own site or app, not a shortcut inside a wallet.
That one change is why searches like "glife arenaplus" are still being typed a year later. People tap where the icon used to sit, find nothing, and assume their account was deleted or that ArenaPlus lost its licence. Neither is true.
What did the BSP order actually say?
The instruction is short, public, and worth reading before you trust anyone's explanation of it. BSP Memorandum No. M-2025-029, signed by Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. and posted on bsp.gov.ph, is titled "Suspension of In-app Gambling Access in Mobile Payment Apps and Websites." Its operative line: all BSP-supervised institutions are "instructed to remove links providing in-app gambling access in BSIs' mobile payment apps and websites within 48 hours upon issuance of this Memorandum."
Two details in that memo decide what you can and cannot do today.
- It defines in-app gambling access as "any product/service that redirects an account holder to a gaming/gambling site." A GLife mini-app is exactly that — a doorway sitting inside the wallet. The doorway is what was closed, not the operator behind it.
- It stems from Monetary Board Resolution No. 805 dated 14 August 2025, and the memo itself calls the move a suspension "pending the issuance and implementation of the corresponding policy" on online gambling payment services. It was framed as temporary from day one. That wording is the reason "GLife is back" rumours keep resurfacing.
GCash's advisory, reported by GMA News on 17 August 2025 and kept in the GCash Help Center under the title "Suspension of Gaming access in GLife," set the cut-off at 8 PM on 16 August 2025. Maya pulled the gaming entries out of its Games feature over the same weekend. This was a sweep across Philippine e-wallets, not GCash singling out one sportsbook.
Is the GLife entry coming back?
No date has been announced by anyone, and as of 1 September 2026 the suspension still stands.
What exists instead is a draft. BSP published an exposure draft circular on Regulations on Online Gambling Payment Services for public consultation, and its proposals are strict enough to explain the delay: a daily cap on transfers to gaming accounts pegged to a share of the account holder's average daily balance, a limited daily processing window for gambling-related transactions, biometric identity checks, and a minimum capitalisation requirement for any provider wanting authority to offer these services at all (Inquirer Business, reporting on the BSP draft). Until that circular is finalised and implemented, the wallet doorways stay shut.
Treat any message, ad, or "agent" telling you the GLife link is restored as a lie until BSP or GCash says so on their own domains.
How do you open ArenaPlus now?
ArenaPlus is operated by DigiPlus Interactive Corporation, which also runs BingoPlus and GameZone. DigiPlus's own corporate site describes ArenaPlus as "the Philippines' premier and #1 PAGCOR licensed online sportsbook." The platform kept running throughout — only the wallet entrance disappeared.
- Go in through the operator's own domain, arenaplus.ph, rather than through any wallet. The GLife-era address that used to serve the mini-app, glife.arenaplus.net, no longer hosts anything of its own — it redirects to ArenaPlus's main domain.
- Bookmark it or add it to your home screen instead of hunting for an installer. A saved web app cannot be swapped out for a fake one the way a sideloaded file can.
- If your account was created inside GLife, ArenaPlus support is the only party that can tell you how to reach it directly. GCash cannot look up a gaming account for you — it never held it.
- Be very careful with Android APK files. ArenaPlus is not distributed through Google Play the way an ordinary app is, and that gap is exactly what scammers exploit. If you install anything, it should come from the operator's own site and nowhere else — not a Telegram group, not a Facebook comment, not a link in an SMS.

What happened to money left in the game wallet?
GCash's advisory was explicit: users should "coordinate directly with the licensed gaming merchant or by visiting their official website." GMA News also reported that moving funds from a gaming account back into the GCash wallet through GLife was only possible up to the 8 PM cut-off on 16 August 2025.
In plain terms: that balance sat with the operator, not with GCash. GCash support cannot see it, cannot return it, and was never holding it. If you still have funds parked from before the removal, the operator's support channel on its own website is the only route — and it is a slow one, because you are asking about a balance from over a year ago. Have your registered mobile number and any old transaction references ready.
How do you fund an ArenaPlus account now?
Honestly: check the operator's cashier, because we are not going to invent a flow for you.
The memo targeted redirect links inside wallet apps, not every payment rail in the country, and what appears on an operator's cashier page has shifted more than once since August 2025 and differs between platforms. The scam that grew out of the removal
A year of confused searching created a market. The pattern is consistent enough to name:
- "GLife access restored" pages. A cloned ArenaPlus login on a lookalike domain, promoted through search ads or group chats, harvesting your mobile number and password.
- Fake installers. APK files hosted on download-aggregator sites, sometimes carrying credential-stealing malware, always claiming to be the official app.
- "Recovery agents" offering to retrieve your stranded game wallet balance for a fee. There is no such service. There is only operator support.
PAGCOR has repeatedly warned about sites misusing its name and logo and asks the public to report any unauthorised use of its logo or misrepresentation of accreditation. That reporting channel on pagcor.ph is the right destination when you find one of these, and it costs you nothing.
What this article does not solve
If you were using GLife because it kept your betting money visually separate from your GCash balance, that convenience is gone and nothing replaces it exactly. Going direct means one fewer speed bump between you and a deposit, which is the opposite of helpful if pace was the thing keeping your spending in check. Set a limit before you log in rather than after.
If you cannot log in at all, this page cannot fix it — only ArenaPlus support can, and response times on account recovery are measured in days, not minutes.
